Recipe for Creamy Crab and Spinach

This is a step-by-step Recipe for preparing at home Restaurant Style Continental Style Creamy Crab and Spinach. This Crab dish called Khekada Palak in Hindi is a treat for the lovers of seafood and is suitable as a main course dish for any kind of party.

Preparation Time: 60 Minutes
Serves: 2 Persons

2 Cups Crab Meat (cooked)
1 Table spoon Butter
2 Table spoon Cheese (grated)
1 Cup Milk
2 Table spoon Flour
1 Cup Fresh Cream
1 Egg
500 Grams Spinach
2 Onion (grated)
1 Tea spoon Pepper
6 Cloves Garlic
3 Eggs Whites
1 Inch piece Ginger
Salt to taste

Wash and boil the Spinach.
Drain and put through a sieve with the Garlic and Ginger.
Drain off the excess Water and mix well with the Onion, Salt and Pepper.
Grease a ring-mold with some Butter.
Fold in stiffly beaten Egg whites with the Spinach and fill in the mold.
Bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes or until well set.

Melt the Butter in a Pan and stir in the flour.
Beat the Cream well.
Gradually add the Milk and cream. If too thick, a little more Milk can be added.
Beat the Egg Yolks and add with Salt and Pepper to taste.
Add the Cheese, remove from fire and add the Crab Meat.
Turn the Spinach mold onto a flat dish and fill in the Crab Mixture in the center.
Serve hot with fresh green Salad.
