Recipe for Kachya Kelyachi Bhaji

This is a Recipe for preparing Kachya Kelyachi Bhaji. This is a raw banana vegetable preparation in the typical Maharashtrian Style of Cooking; can also be taken on the days of fasting.

Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

2 Raw Green Bananas (remove skin and cut in medium size pieces)
1 Table spoon Coconut (shredded)
1 Table spoon Coriander
2 Green Chilies (chopped)
Salt to taste

For Tadka
1 Table spoon Oil or Ghee
½ Tea spoon Mustard seeds
A pinch of Asafetida

Heat Ghee or Oil in the frying pan and then prepare Tadka and then add pieces of Banana. Mix it well and add 1 table spoon water and cover with steel plate add some water over the plate and cook for 3-4 minutes on slow sim. Then add Coconut, Green Chili, Coriander and Salt. Mix it well and cook for 2 minutes on slow sim. The Bhaji is ready.
