This is a simple recipe for preparing Date [Khajur] Halwa. A delicious and nutritious Halwa preparation, good tifin box item for school going kids.
1 cup finely chopped Dates
1 ½ cup grated Coconut
¾ cup finely chopped Jaggery
6 to 7 Cashew nuts [crushed]
3 tablespoons Ghee
Put 2 tablespoons Ghee in a Vessel; then put all the other ingredients into the vessel and mix nicely. Keep stirring the contents for some time.
Then when the mixture starts thickening and becomes sticky add the remaining tablespoon of Ghee to it. Mix nicely and remove from fire.
Then pour the mixture on a greased steel plate and garnish.
