Recipe for Mutton Palak

This is a recipe for preparing at home tasty Restaurant Style Mutton Palak or Spinach-Meat. This is a main course Indian Meat and Spinach dish that goes well with rice, chapatti or bread.

Preparation Time: 60 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

250 Grams Mutton
2 Bunches of Palak
2 Tea spoon Red chill powder
A pinch of Turmeric powder
1” Ginger piece
A pinch of Cumin seeds
A few cloves of Garlic
3 green Chilies
Salt to taste
2 Big Onions
1 Table spoon ghee

Wash and cut the meat into even portions.
Grind red chilies, Turmeric, Cumin seeds, Ginger and Garlic.
Slice the Onion. Heat Ghee. Fry the sliced Onion. Add the above grounded ingredients and fry well.
Add meat and a little water and let it cook till the meat is nearly done.
Wash and chop the Palak. Add salt and cook without water. Grind the Palak and add to the meat. Cook till the meat is tender. Serve hot.
