This is a Recipe for preparing at home Peanut or Shengdana Thecha, a traditional and authentic Maharashtrian Chutney like dish. This spicy Peanut Thecha is a most popular add-on to meals, especially in the rural regions of Maharashtra.

Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

Ingredients
1 Cup Peanuts
7-8 Green Chilies
10-12 Garlic Petals
1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
Salt as per taste
1 Tablespoon Oil

Preparation
Chop the Green Chilies and Garlic.
Heat the Oil in a Kadai and add the Cumin Seeds, Peanuts, Green Chilies, Garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes on a slow flame. Add the Salt and roughly grind on a Grinding Bowl or Khal Batta as it is called in Marathi.
Serve with hot Bhakri or Chapatti.
