This is a step-by-step Recipe for preparing at home typical Konkani Style tasty and delicious Kolambi or Prawn Kebab. The Prawn Kebabs can be served as part of the main course or as a starters snack for any kind of party, including cocktail parties.

Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons
2 Cups shelled, deveined and leaned Prawns
2 Medium size Onion (finely chopped)
4 Green Chilies
6 Cloves Garlic
½ Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
¼ Cup Coriander leaves (chopped)
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
4 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
2 Slice Bread (soaked in water)
Salt as per taste
½ Cup dry Bread Crumbs
Oil for frying the Kabab
Clean, devein and wash the Prawns and then slightly mash them using a grinding stone.
Soak the Bread slices in Water for about 30 seconds and then remove from Water and sponge dry.
Add the Prawns and all the other ingredients except Bread Crumbs and Oil mix well.
Divide mixture into 12 or 14 portions shape each portion like a ball.
In a deep frying pan pour Oil to a depth of 1 ½ inches and heat it to medium hot.
Roll each ball in the Bread Crumbs and fry on medium heat till nicely browned.
Serve with Potato Chips and Sauce.
