This is a most simple Recipe for preparing authentic and traditional Maharashtrian Style Methi Besan Bhaji This main course vegetable preparation using Fenugreek Leaves and Gram Flour is also commonly known as the Besan Perun Methichi Bhaji in Marathi.

Maharashtrian Style Methi Besan Bhaji Preparation Time: 25 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

Ingredients:
1 Methi bunch [Fenugreek Leaves]
¼ Cup Besan [Gram Flour]
1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder [Lal Mirchi Powder]
Salt as per taste
1 Tablespoon Oil
¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida [Hing]
1 Medium size Onion (chopped)

Preparation:
Clean, wash and finely chop the Methi Leaves and the Onion and keep aside.
Heat the Oil in a kadhai and add the Asafoetida, Onion and fry for 2-3 minutes on a slow flame.
Then add the chopped Methi Leaves and cook for 3-4 minutes on a slow flame.
Add the Salt, Red Chili Powder and Besan, mix it well and cook for 3-4 minutes on a slow flame.
Garnish with Coconut.
Serve hot with Bhakari or Chapatti.
