This is a Recipe for Doodh Poha or Doodh Pohe, meaning Poha in Milk is a snack, which can be prepared one in a while for a change from the usual breakfast dishes.
Doodh Pohe Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons
2 Cups Milk
3 Table spoon Sugar
1 Table spoon Kismis
1 Cup Poha
1 Table spoon Almond (sliced)
1/4 Tea spoon Vanilla Essence
Cardamom Powder and Nutmeg as per taste
Boil the Milk, Sugar and Kismis for five minutes.
Wash the Poha and add to the hot Milk, and then again boil the Milk for two-three minutes on a slow flame.
Keep the Poha aside for cooling. After cooling, add the Vanilla Essence, Cardamom Powder, and Nutmeg Powder and mix it well. Then keep the Poha in refrigerator for five-six hours.
