This is a Recipe for preparing spicy and mouthwatering Black peppercorns (Kali Mirch) Chicken. This is an authentic Indian Chicken Gravy, which has been experimented by me using Black Peppercorns.
I have simplified the preparation method to make it easy for new homemakers.
500 Grams Chicken (Pieces)
3 Big size Onion (chopped)
8-10 Black Peppercorns (crushed roughly)
½ Tea spoon Fennel (Saunf) powder
1 Table spoon Garlic paste
2 Big size Tomatoes (Puree)
2 Tea spoon Coriander seeds powder
Salt, Red Chili powder and Turmeric powder to taste
2 Table spoon Oil
2-3 Bay leaves
1 Tea spoon Cumin seeds
4 Cardamom pods
Heat the Oil in a Kadhai and then add Bay leaves, Cloves, Cumin seeds and Cardamom pods and stir for 1-2 minutes.
Then add Onion and fry till color changes in to golden brown and then add Garlic paste and cook for 1 minute. Then add Coriander powder, Fennel, Turmeric, Red Chili powder, Salt and stir for 3-4 minutes add 2 table spoon Water and then add Tomato puree. After adding Tomato puree cook on slow flame till oil separates.
Then add Chicken pieces and cover the Kadhai with a lid and cook on a slow flame for 15-20 minutes. Then add crushed Black Peppers and cook Chicken on a slow flame till it is tender.
