Recipe for Delicious Moong Dal Parathas

This is a Recipe for preparing Dhaba Style Delicious Moong Dal Parathas. This is a handy Paratha preparation; for breakfast or even the main course; tasty and filling.

3 Cups Moong Dal
1 Green Chili
½ Cup Coriander Leaves
½ Tea spoon Turmeric powder
1 Tea spoon Pomegranate seeds (crushed)
½ Inch piece Ginger
½ Tea spoon Coriander powder
½ Tea spoon Chili powder
Wheat flour
Salt to taste
Oil for fry

In the Wheat flour add ½ Tea spoon Turmeric and Chili powder and 1 Table spoon Oil and make soft dough.In a Kadhai heat 1 Tea spoon Oil and then add the Ginger, Green Chilies and Turmeric, Coriander and Chili powder. Add the Dal and put 1 ½ cups Water and Salt. Cover with lid and cook till Dal is separated and tender and the Water dried up. Add Pomegranate seeds.Now make a small ball of Wheat flour and flatten it. Put in one table spoon cooked Dal. Cover and form a ball and roll out like Parathas. Cook on a Tawa smearing it with Oil frequently, till cooked and crisp. Serve hot with red Chutney.
