Maharashtrian Recipe for Dudhi Bhoplyachi Bhaji

This is a authentic Maharashtrian Recipe for preparing Dudhi Bhoplyachi Bhaji (Bottle Gourd). One of the everyday vegetable items for meals in Maharashtra.

Dudhi Bhoplyachi Bhaji Preparation Time: 25 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

Ingredients
250 Grams Dudhi Bhopla
1 Table spoon Green Gram Dal (soak for ½ hours)
3-4 Green Chilies
1 Tea spoon Cumin-Coriander seeds powder
Jaggery and Salt to taste

For Tadka
1 Table spoon Oil
½ Tea spoon Mustard seeds
½ Tea spoon Cumin Seeds
¼ Tea spoon Asafetida
¼ Tea spoon Turmeric

Preparation
Remove the skin of the Dudhi and cut in medium size pieces and soak in a little bit of water.
Prepare Tadka and then add Green Chilies, Green Gram Dal and Dudhi. Cover with plate add some Water on the plate. And then cook for 8-10 minutes.
After that add Salt and Jaggery mix it well and cook for 5 minutes.
While serving garnish with Coconut and Coriander.
The Bhaji is ready!
