This is a Recipe for Green Chicken. The green color is inherited from the Palak. A Chicken Recipewith its own distinct flavor.
1 Kg Chicken cut in medium sized pieces
1 Bunch Palak (Spinach)
1 Large Onion grated
½ pod of Garlic
1 Tea spoon crushed Ginger
2 Tea spoon Chili powder
4 Table spoon Oil
Salt to taste
¼ Tea spoon Turmeric
3 Medium size Tomatoes
Heat Oil in a cooker; lightly fry Ginger and Garlic till brown in color. Add Onions, Salt, Garam Masala, Turmeric, Chili powder, chopped, tomatoes and cook on slow flame till the oil separates from the paste.
Add Chicken pieces to the above paste and fry well. Add ½ cup of water and cook under pressure for 10 minutes. Leave to cool.
Wash and chop the Palak leaves. Boil Palak without using any water on high flame for a few minutes. Grind it to a paste. Add this paste to the Chicken masala and cook for a while till the water dries up.
When serving garnish with a table spoon of cream and 1 Tea spoon Milk.
