Garam Masala is a term associated with most Indian dishes, like gravies, vegetable dishes and non-veg preparations, like fish, chicken and seafood preparations. It is such an integral part of Indian cuisine that Indian food is incomplete without the addition of Garam Masala.
In this article, I am giving a recipe to prepare Garam Masala at home, which can be stored for a few weeks and used in a variety of dishes. This will be very useful because you will not have to prepare the same Masala over and over again.
The quantities can be increased or decreased as per your requirements.
200 Grams Coriander powder
5-6 Sticks of Cinnamon
100 Grams Cardamom
100 Grams Black Pepper
(Make 500 Grams)
For added flour
1-2 Bay leaves
5-10 Grams Kasturi Methi
Pick, dry and finely grind ingredients and keep tightly bottled.
