This is a simple Recipe for preparing at home Punjabi Style Rajma [Red Kidney Beans]. This dish is more often than not identified with the state of Punjab as Rajma-Chawal is a common meal of a large number of families in that state.
The recipe given by me is an authentic and traditional Punjabi recipe for preparing Rajma.
½ Table spoon Garam Masala
175 Gram Rajma – Red Kidney Beans
1 Table spoon Ginger and Garlic paste
3 Onions chopped
2 Tomatoes, chopped
4 Green Chilies, chopped
1 Table spoon Coriander, chopped
40 Gram Ghee
Soak the Rajma overnight.
Then Pressure cook with water for 8 to 10 minutes.
Heat Ghee in a utensil add, Onions and fry till golden brown. Add Ginger- Garlic paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add Green Chilies, Garam Masala, Tomatoes and fry until golden brown. Add Rajma along with water and simmer for 10-15 Minutes.
Garnish with Coriander and Desi Ghee. Serve hot with Rice or Paratha .
