Simple recipe for Spicy Gathias

This is nice and simple recipe to prepare crispy, tasty and Spicy Gujarati Style Bhavanagari Besan Gathiya. The Gathias, which a Gujarati specility Namkeen snack is also a recommended dish for Diwali Faral.

Preparation Time: 60 Minutes
Serves: 1/2 kg Gathiya

500 gram Gram flour [Besan]
¼ cup Oil
3 teaspoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Ajwain
½ teaspoon Asafetida [Hing]
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying

First of all take all the above ingredients and mix them together with just about sufficient water to prepare soft dough.
Then fill the dough into a thick Sev Press.
Press out the dough into hot oil directly to prepare tasty and crisp Spicy Gathias.
