Recipe for Coconut-Rava (Suji) Ladoo

This Recipe is for Coconut-Rawa (Suji) Ladoo. This dish is very famous in Maharashtra and and known in Marathi as Rawa-Narlacha Ladu and is made on festive occassions like the festival of Diwali.

Preparation Time: 60 Minutes
Serves: 25-30 Ladoo

4 Cups Rava (Suji)
2 Cups Coconut (Shredded)
3 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Ghee
10 Badams [Almonds] (powder)
15 Pistachios (Powder)
1 Table spoon Kismis
4 Pieces Green Elachai [Green Cardamom] grounded

Heat 1 Cup Ghee adds Rava and fry till colour change to Pink on slow sim. Add Coconut and fry it for 5 minutes on slow sim and keep aside.
Take 3 cups Sugar in another frying pan add 1 ½ cup water and make thick syrup.
After that add Rava and Badam, Pistachios, Kismis and Elachai powder and mix it nicely. Then make round size Ladoo.
