Recipe for Chirote

This is another step by step recipe for preparing Chirote. Chirote is a traditional and authentic Maharashtrian sweet; served as Faral during the Diwali festival.

Preparation Time: 60 Minutes
Serves: 15-18 Nos

Ingredients
2 Cup Maida
1 Pinch Salt
2 Table spoon Rice Atta
4 Tea spoon Oil (hot)
2 Table spoon Dalda
For frying Oil or Ghee
½ Cup Sugar grounded
1 Table spoon Curd

Preparation
First filter the Maida and then add Salt, 4 Tea spoon hot Oil and Curd and then mix it nicely and make Dough.
Then take 2 Table spoon Ghee and Rice Atta and mix it nicely and make a fine paste.
After that make 4 round balls of equal sizes from the Dough and make a chapatti out of each ball and spread over Rice Atta.
Then place the 4 Chapattis over each other and make one tight roll and cut in 1” small pieces or 10 equal pieces.
Then take one piece and make square small size Puri by rolling it twice in a criss cross manner to make a Chirota.
After that heat the Ghee and deep fry the Chirote till color change in to pink on slow sim and then sprinkle grounded sugar on it.
