This is a recipe for making at home spicy and crispy Tikona Bites using Potatoes as the main ingredient along with some selected spices and Pav-Bhaji Masala.

The word Tikona means triangle and this is why this tasty snack is called Tikona Bites. Tikona Bites can be served as a starters snack for any kind of party, including cocktail and kitty parties.

They can also be served as a side-dish during the main course meals.

Spicy Crispy Potato Tikona Bites for Nashta

Ingredients:
3 Big Size Potatoes
1 Tea spoon Kashmiri Mirchi Powder
2 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala
1 Tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
1 Tablespoon Rice Flour
1 Tablespoon Cornflour
1 Teaspoon Chili flakes
½ Tea spoon Cumin-Coriander Powder
Salt as per taste
2 Tablespoon Coriander leaves (chopped)
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
Oil for frying Tikona Bites

For Coating:
2 Tablespoon Maida (all purpose flour)
Salt as per taste
4-5 Tablespoon Water
½ Cup Corn flask or Bread Crumb Or Toast

Preparation: Boil the Potatoes and peal and shred them. Prepare Ginger-Garlic Paste, Chop the Coriander Leaves. Prepare Slurry by using All Purpose Flour, Salt and Water. Then, prepare Bread Crumbs or a coarse powder by grounding Corn flakes.

In a large size bowl add the shredded Potatoes, Ginger-Garlic Paste, Rice Flour, All Purpose Flour, Kashmiri Red Chili Powder, Pav Bhaji Masala, Salt as per taste, Cumin-Coriander Powder, Chili flakes, Coriander Leaves, Lemon Juice, mix it together to prepare a Dough.

Grease a stainless steel plate with Oil and transfer the Potato Dough in that plate and spread it evenly. Then Keep the Plate into the Deep-Freezer for 1 hour. Remove the Plate from Freezer and cut the pieces into medium sized triangular shapes. You can store these triangles in an air tight container in the freezer.

Then take one triangle and dip it in the Maida Slurry and then roll it over the Bread Crumbs or Corn flakes powder.

Heat the Oil in a Kadai and then deep fry the Triangles until they become golden brown or crispy. Deep fry the remaining triangles using the same procedure.

Serve the Crispy Potato Tikona Bites hot with Tomato Sauce or Chutney.
