Green Peas Poppy Seeds Vegetable Preparation Time: 45 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons
Ingredients
1 Cup Khas-Khas (poppy Seeds)
2 Medium size Onion (chopped)
2-3 Green Chilies
¼ Cup Green Peas (Mutter)
2 Tablespoon Coriander (chopped)
2 Tablespoon Coconut (shredded)
Black Pepper Powder as per taste
Sugar and Salt as per taste
1 Tablespoon Ghee
For the Tadka (seasoning)
1 Tablespoon Oil
One-Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
¼ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Preparation
Soak the Khas Khas for two hours in water and keep aside.
Chop the Onion, Green Chilies, and Coriander and shred the Coconut,
In a Kadai add a cup of Water, Poppy Seeds, and Green Peas Pods and cook them for 10 minutes on a slow flame. Then remove the cooked Poppy Seeds and Green Peas from the kadai and keep them aside.
Heat the Oil in a Kadai, add the Cumin Seeds, Onion, Green Chilies, Turmeric Powder and sauté for two minutes, add the cooked Poppy Seeds-Green Peas, Salt, and cook them for five minutes on a slow flame.
Add the Coriander, shredded Coconut, Black Pepper Seeds, Sugar, and Ghee and mix it well.
Serve hot with Chapatti, Paratha or Rice Bhakri.
