Eggnog is a popular beverage, especially during the Christmas season. This recipe also called as Egg Milk Punch can be consumed as a standalone drink or added to any other preparation. The recipe, which I have given, is a basic, simple and uncomplicated one and does not take much time to prepare.
Eggnog is normally served in some hospitals to patents as it is said to be nutritious and good for the health of recuperating patients who are recovering from illness.
If you wish, you can experiment by adding some spices or essence depending upon your taste. Powdered nutmeg or cinnamon blends nicely with this beverage.
The ingredients given below can be increased proportionate to the quantity you wish to prepare.
Preparation Time – 10 Minutes
Serves – 1 Person
¾ to 1 Tablespoon Sherry or Whisky
One Dessertspoon Sugar
Put the Yoke of Egg and Sugar into a small basin and mix them together until of a creamy consistency. Add the Wine and lastly the white of Egg beaten to a stiff froth, mix lightly but thoroughly and serve in a glass.
Whisky, Brandy, or Rum may be used instead of the Sherry.
