Recipe for Coconut Beetroot Barfi

This is a Recipe for preparing tasty Coconut Beetroot Barfi. This is a traditional and authentic Maharashtrian sweets recipe known as Naral-Beet Chi Burfi/Vadi. This Burfii can also be prepared as Faral during Diwali.

Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
Serves: 20 Nos

1 Medium size Beetroot
2 Cups Coconut (shredded)
2 Cup Sugar
¼ Liter Milk
½ Tea spoon Cardamom powder
½ Table spoon Ghee

First of all boil the Beetroot and peal the skin and then shred it.
In a Kadhai (not non stick) add Coconut, Beetroot, Sugar, Milk and Cardamom powder then mix it well and cook till it becomes thick like a Dough.
After that apply the Ghee on a medium sized steel plate and spread the mixture over it and garnish with thin Almond strips. After 10-15 minutes cut in small pieces.
