Recipe for Lettuce and Dal curry

This is a simple and easy to follow Recipe for preparing at home Lettuce and Dal curry. A simple, yet filling and wholsome Dal preparation made using any kind of Dal and the Lettuce Patta, which is commonly known as the Salad Patta.

3 Lettuce head leaves
2 Cups Dal[any kind of Dal can be used as per liking and taste]
1 Coconut
5 Dried Chilies
1 Tea spoon Fenugreek
2 Onions
½ Tea spoon Turmeric powder
3 Table spoon Ghee
Salt to taste

Boil the dal well. Wash and cut the lettuce leaves and add to the dal. Scrape coconut and grind it with chilies, fried fenugreek and some tamarind and turmeric. Add the Masala and a teaspoon of Ghee to the curry. Slice the Onions, fry them in Ghee and add to the Curry.
Goes well with Rice.
