Recipe for Besan Dahi Vada with Chutney

This is a most simple Recipe for preparing at home Hotel Style Besan Dahi Vada. A traditional Indian Snack recipe, using Gram Flour to prepare the Vadas.

2 Cup Besan
A pinch of Salt
A pinch of Soda-bi-card
Oil for frying
Garam masala make by powdering 1 Tea spoon roasted Cumin powder, 1 Tea spoon black Salt (kala Namak) powder, ½ Tea spoon Chili powder

For Chutney:
½ cup thick juice of Tamarind , ½ cup gur, ½ bunch Mint leaves, ½ Tea spoon Salt, (blend) everything in a mixer and make a chutney.

Make a thick batter of Besan, Salt and Soda-bi-carb using water. Heat Oil in a karahi (pan) and make Besan Wada, the size of your choice. Put fried Vadas in water for 5 minutes and squeeze out the water. Add to the Curds. Serve garnished with chutney and masala powder.
