Recipe for Poha Puri

This is a recipe for making at home crisp and spicy Poha Puri. This is an authentic Maharashtrian recipe called in Marathi as Pohyache Tikhat Puri. The Poha Puri can be served for breakfast or with the main course.

Preparation Time- 30 Minutes
Serves- 15 Medium Sized Poha Puris

Ingredients
1 Cup Poha [flattened rice]
2 Cups Wheat Floor
1 Cup Besan
1 Tea spoon Red Chili Powder
1 Table spoon Coriander
Jeera Powder
1 Table spoon hot Ghee
¼ Tea spoon Turmeric
Salt to taste

Preparation
First wash the Poha and then add Wheat floor, Besan, Chili powder, Coriander Jeera Powder, hot Ghee, Turmeric and Salt and mix it well.
Then make a thick dough and keep it aside for 10 – 15 minutes.
Make small sized round balls and roll them to make small and round Puris.
Deep fry the Puris until the color change in to a nice shade of golden yellow.
