Crisp Potato-Aloo Sev Bhujia for Diwali Faral

This is a simple and easy to understand Recipe for preparing at home crisp, spicy and delicious Potato [Aloo Sev Bhujia] or Batata Shev in Marathi for the Diwali Faral.
Sev is a must have Namkeen dish for the Diwali Faral and the Alu Shev recipe given here is one of the many variations of Sev using different flavors to suit most taste buds.

Potato-Aloo Sev Bhujia Preparation Time : 45 Minutes
Serving : 4 Persons

Ingredients
1 Cup mashed Potato (two medium size Potatoes)
1 Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Oil (hot)
Two Cloves (powdered)
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep-frying the Shev

Preparation:
First, strain the Besan with a Strainer two times and then keep it aside.
Boil the Potatoes and keep them aside for 15 minutes after which, remove the skin and mash the Potatoes.
Then add the Besan, Red Chili Powder, Clove Power, Oil, and Salt and mix it well to prepare the Shev Dough. (The Dough should not be very thick or very thin.)
Heat the Oil in a Kadai and prepare a thin Sev with a Sev Making Machine directly in the Kadai.
Deep-fry the Sev from the both side until the color changes into golden yellow.
After preparing the Sev keep it over a newspaper and then store it in a container.

Tips:
While preparing the Sev, make sure that the Gram Flour is fresh.
While preparing Sev the Oil should be hot.
After the Sev is prepared, keep it on a newspaper to drain the excess Oil.
