Recipe for Barley and Tomato Soup

This is a step by step recipe for preparing nutritious Indian Style Barley and Tomato Soup. This soup is a nice appetizer. You can take the Ingredients in proportion to the quantity you want.

1 kg Tomatoes
30 gram Crushed Barley
15 gram Onions
15 gram Carrot
Salt and Pepper as per taste
Herbs as per taste
3 Liters Water

Firstly cut the onion, tomatoes and carrot and cook all of them together till they become tender.
Then mash all of them and strain them through a sieve.
Then add the Barley with a sprinkling of herbs and seasoning as per taste.
Place all these ingredients together in a saucepan of boiling water and boil for about 2 hours on a slow sim.
Add salt and pepper as per taste and serve hot.
