Crisp and Tasty Breadless Potato Sandwiches

This is a step-by step Recipe for making at home crisp and delicious Batata or Potato Sandwich. This bread-less sandwich makes the uses of a special potato and chutney preparation as the main ingredient to make this fried Potato sandwich, which can be served as a stand-alone snack, starters dish or as a part of the main course meals.

Preparation Time: 40 Minutes
Serves: 8 Sandwiches

Ingredients
3 Big Size Potatoes
1 Small carrot (shredded)
2 Green Chilies
½” Ginger Piece
2 Tablespoon Rice Flour
Salt as per taste

For the Chutney
½ Cup Coconut (grated)
2 Green Chilies
5-6 Garlic Petals
½” Ginger Piece
1 Teaspoon Lemon juice
¼ Cup Coriander Leaves+ Mint Leaves
Salt and Sugar as per taste
2 Tablespoon Water or Coconut Water

Preparation
For the Sandwich: Boil the Potatoes, Peal and shred them. Then add the Green Chili and Ginger Paste, Salt, Rice Flour, shredded Carrot and mix it well and prepare a Dough. Prepare 16 equal balls from the Dough and flatten them with your palm.

For the Chutney: Mix the Coconut, Green Chilies, Ginger-Garlic Paste, Lemon Juice, Coriander-Mint Leaves, Sugar, Salt, two tablespoon Water and grind into a paste. The Chutney is ready for use.

Take one flattened Potato Dough Ball and spread one teaspoon Chutney over it and close with another flattened Potato Dough Ball. Then press slightly from sides so that they stick together. Prepare all Sandwiches in the same manner.

Heat a Nonstick Tawa and apply a teaspoon of Oil over the Tawa and arrange all the Sandwiches over the Tawa and shallow fry the Sandwiches till they become crispy.

Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup or Chutney.
