Cauliflower or Phool Gobi Ka Pulao

This is a simple and easy to understand step-b-step Recipe for preparing at home delicious Cauliflower Pulao.
The Cauliflower or Phool Gobi Ka Pulao as this rich dish is popularly called in the Hindi and Flower Cha Bhat in the Marathi language is a filling and wholesome rice preparation suitable for any kind of main course meal.

Serves: 3 Persons
Preparation timing: 25 minutes

Ingredients
2 Cups Rice (Delhi rice)
1 ½ Cup Cauliflower florets
1 Big size Onion (chopped)
1 Tablespoon Ginger-Garlic –Green Chili Paste
1 ½ Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
Salt as per taste

For the Tadka
1 Tablespoon Oil
5 Cloves
3 Green Cardamoms
Oil for deep frying the Cauliflower florets
2 Tablespoon Coriander Leaves
2 Tablespoon Coconut (grated)

Preparation
Wash the Rice and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
Wash the Cauliflower florets and keep them aside.
Heat the Oil and deep fry the Cauliflower florets until color changes in to light brown.
In a Pressure Cooker heat the Oil and add the Cloves, Cardamom, Onion, Ginger-Garlic-Green Chili Powder and sauté for 2-3 minutes on a slow flame.
Then add the washed Rice, fried Cauliflower florets, Salt, Red Chili Powder, Lemon Juice and 4 cups Water, mix it well and cook until you get two whistles of the Pressure Cooker.
Serve hot, while serving garnish with Coriander leaves, and grated Coconut.
