Recipe for Ratalyacha Sheera

This is a Recipe for prepaaring Ratalyacha Sheera (Sweet Potato Shera]. This is a traditional Maharashtrian sweet dish, normally prepared on the days of fasting; especially on the day of Ekadashi.

Ingredients
500 Gram Sweet Potatoes
1 Cup Coconut (shredded)
1 Cup Sugar or Jaggery
¼ Tea spoon Cardamoms powder
½ Cup Ghee

Preparation
First of all Clean Sweet Potatoes and remove the skin and shred them.
Wash shredded Sweet Potatoes and then add in a pan with hot Ghee and fry till it cooks.
After that add Sugar or Jaggery and Coconut and cook it for 10-12 minutes and then add Cardamom powder.
Before serving add some Pure Ghee to the Sheera and serve hot.
