Recipe for Potato Halwa

This is an authentic and traditional Indian Halwa Recipe to prepare Potato Halwa. The Batata or Aloo Ka Halwa can be served as Desert after the main course.

Ingredients
8 Potatoes
1 cup Milk
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
½ cup Ghee
A few sticks of Saffron
5 Cardamoms [powdered]
Almonds for garnishing

Preparation
At first peel and grate the Potatoes.
The put the milk and water in a vessel.
Add the grated potatoes in a pressure cooker for 10 minutes.
Remove when cool and mash well.
Then add the sugar and mix nicely and then add the ghee little by little.
Then add saffron and powdered cardamom.
Remove when it starts leaving the side pf the pan.
Pour the contents on a greased steel plate and garnish with almonds.
