Simple Recipe for Making Chicken Stock

This is a very simple to understand step-by–step recipe to prepare Chicken Stock at home. Chicken stock can be stored to give that added flavor and aroma to most chicken dishes. Most restaurants keep ample quantities of Chicken Stock in their kitchens to be added to Chicken Gravies, Soups and other Chicken dishes as and when needed.

Homemade Chicken Stock Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

Ingredients
7-8 Chicken Pieces (wings, neck pieces can also be used to make the Chicken Stock)
1 Big sized Onion (chopped)
1 Tablespoon Coriander leaves (chopped)
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
7-8 Cups Water
Salt as per taste

Preparation:
Wash the Chicken pieces; chop the Onion and Coriander leaves.
In a big size vessel add the Water, washed Chicken pieces, chopped Onion, chopped Coriander leaves, Black Pepper and Salt as per taste and boil them for 10-12 minutes on a slow flame.
After boiling, the Chicken stock strain with a strainer and remove the flesh of the Chicken pieces, which can be used in a Chicken Soup.
This Chicken Stock can be served directly or to add flavor to Chicken Gravies or Soup.

Note- Chicken pieces used for prepared Chicken Stock loose much of their inherent taste.

Sometimes in restaurants you come across tasteless chicken pieces, the most probable reason is that the chicken pieces used to prepare Chicken Stock have been used in the chicken dish.
