This is a Recipe for preparing at home typical Maharashtrian Mod Aalelya Masoor Chi Usal or Sprouted Masoor Usal.
The recipe given by me is simple and easy to follow and in the authentic and traditional Maharashtrian Style of Cooking.

Maharashtrian Style Sprouted Masoor Usal Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

Ingredients
Two Cups Sprouted Red Lentil Mod Aalele Masoor
Two Kokum [ Amsul]
2 Tablespoon Coconut (shredded)
2 Tablespoon Coriander (chopped)

For the Tadka
1 Tablespoon Oil
1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida
One Small size Onion (chopped)
1 Tablespoon Ginger-Garlic (chopped)
Two Green Chilies (chopped)
6-7 Curry Leaves
Salt as per taste

Preparation :
Heat the Oil in a Kadai and add the Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Asafoetida, Curry Leaves, Onion, Ginger-Garlic, Green Chilies and sauté for a minute and then add the Salt, Turmeric Powder, Masoor and a cup of Water then cover with a plate and add some Water over the plate and cook the Masoor till it done.
Then add Kokum and mix it well.
Garnish with Coconut and Coriander and serve with Chapatti or Bhakri.
