Kasuri Methi Shankarpali for Diwali Faral

This is a simple and easy to follow Recipe for preparing at home tasty Kasuri Methi Shankarpali for the Diwali Faral. This version of the Shankarpali uses Kasuri Methi or Dried Fenugreek leaves to prepare tasty Methi flavored Shankarpali.
The Kasuri Methi Shankarpali also makes a great snack for any kind of parties, including Kitty and Cocktail parties.

Kasuri Methi Shankarpali Preparation Time: 40 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons

Ingredients
Two Cups Refined Flour (Maida)
½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
½ Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
½ Teaspoon Ajwain
1 Tablespoon Dry Kasuri Methi [Dried Fenugreek leaves]
½ Teaspoon Salt
Cup Oil (hot)
Oil for frying the Shankarpali

Preparation:
Sieve the Maida, Baking Powder and Salt. Prepare a coarse powder of the Cumin Seeds and Ajwain.
In a big sized plate mix the Maida, Cumin-Ajwain Powder, Kasuri Methi Leaves, and hot Oil and add enough Water to prepare thick Dough. Then keep the Dough aside for 15-20 minutes.
Before preparing Shankarpali prepare 3 equal sized balls and then roll them like you roll a Chapatti and then cut them into small triangular Shankarpali shapes.
Heat the Oil in a Kadai and deep-fry the Shankarpali until color changes into light brown.
When the Kasuri Methi Shankarpalis cool down store them in a plastic bag.
