Parsi Style Prawn Curry

This is a Recipe for Parsi Style Prawn Curry, also popularly known as Bawajee’s Prawn Curry, a authentic and traditional Parsi specialty seafood dish. Tastes great with rice or Parathas.
The recipe for this Parsi Prawns preparation has been given in a simple step-by-step manner to facilitate easy cooking.

Ingredients
250 Grams Prawns [cleaned, deveined and then boiled]
2 Teaspoon Brown Sugar
200 Milliliters Tamarind Water [Imli Ka Pani]
2 Tablespoon Cooking Oil
Five Finely Sliced Onions
Salt as per taste
One Dessertspoon Coriander leaves (chopped)
½ Teaspoon Cumin Seeds [Jeera]
Three Cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder [Haldi Powder]
½ Teaspoon Powdered Cumin Seeds – Coriander seeds [Dhania-Jeera Powder]

Preparation
Mix and let the Brown Sugar dissolve in the Imli Ka Pani.
Heat the Oil in a frying pan and then add the Sliced Onions, Prawns and Salt as per your taste.
Cover the frying pan and let it cook by stirring from time to time until the Prawns are slightly cooked.
Then add all the other ingredients including the Spices except the Imli Ka Pani – Brown Sugar Mixture.
Let it cook for about 10 minutes or so, keep stirring from time to time.
Finally add the Imli Ka Pani – Brown Sugar Mixture and let it cook until the gravy thickens and the water evaporates.
