Simple Punjabi Style Missi Roti Recipe

Missi Roti [मिस्सी रोटी] is a healthy and nutritious Roti, which is a traditional food item in Punjab and Rajasthan. In this article, I have given an extremely simple recipe to prepare Punjabi Style Missi Roti with Gehun Ka Atta and Besan as the main ingredients, in your home without much effort. It can be eaten by itself or with Pickle, Chutney or Dal Fry.

Ingredients
4 cups Gehun Ka Atta [wheat flour]
2 cups Besan [Gram Flour]
One small Onion [cut into very small pieces]
Two Green Chilies [cut into very small pieces]
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Lal Mirch [red chili powder]
½ teaspoon Cumin Seeds
2 teaspoon Coriander leaves [chop into small pieces]
Ghee for the prepared Missi Rotis

Preparation
Take all the ingredients, except the Ghee, add water and then prepare smooth Dough.
Prepare equal sized ball from the Dough, the quantity is sufficient for making about a dozen balls. Roll the Dough balls into roundish shapes of approximately 3 ½ inches in diameter.
Roast the rolled Rotis on both the sides on a heated Tawa until they are cooked.
Serve hot by topping the Missi Rotis with Ghee.
