Vermicelli Pancakes for your Child’s Tiffin Box

This is a Recipe for making at home Vermicelli Pancakes or Seviyan Dosa as this Vermicelli dish is called in the Hindi language. This Dosa is another popular Tiffin Box item for your school-going child, also a popular snack for breakfast or teatime.

Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
Serves: 8 Vermicelli Pancakes

Ingredients
1 Cup Vermicelli (crushed)
1 Cup Semolina
4 Green Chillies (chopped)
1 Cup Curd
¼ Cup Coriander Leaves (chopped)
¼ Cup Coconut (grated)
3 Tablespoon Ghee
¼ Teaspoon Soda bi-carb
Oil for shallow frying
Salt as per taste

Preparation
Heat the Ghee in a Kadhai and add Green Chillies. After a minute, add Vermicelli and Semolina. Roast on a slow flame until light pink in color. Remove form flame and keep them aside.
Add Curd, Coriander Leaves, Coconut, Soda bi-carb and Salt to the Vermicelli and Semolina mixture. Then add enough Water to make the Pancake batter and then keep it aside for an hour.
Make golden Pancakes on a non-stick girdle with a little Oil.
Serve hot with Green Coriander Chutney.
