Godi Shankarpali for Diwali Faral

This is a Recipe for preparing at home crisp and delicious Godi Shankarpali or Sweet Shankarpali, a very popular Maharashtrian Diwali Faral item, prepared in slightly different way from the one posted sometime back.

Ingredients
2 Cups Refined Flour (Maida)
1 Cup Wheat Flour
1 Cup Sugar (grounded)
¾ Cup Ghee (melted)
1 Cup Milk
½ Tea spoon Salt
Oil for frying

Preparation
Mix the Refined Flour, Wheat Flour and Salt and filter with a fine strainer and keep this mixture aside. Mix the Ghee and grounded Sugar thoroughly. Then add the Maida, Wheat Flour, Milk to prepare a thick Dough. Prepare four sized equal balls from the Dough, roll the balls one by one and cut into diamond shapes.

Heat the Oil in a Kadhai and deep fry the Godi Shankarpali on a slow flame till color changes in to light brown.

साहित्य :
२ कप मैदा, १ कप गव्हाचे पीठ, १ कप पिठीसाखर, ३/४ कप तूप, १ कप दुध, १/२ टी स्पून मीठ, तळण्यासाठी तेल

कृती : मैदा, गव्हाचे पीठ, मीठ चाळून घ्या. तूप व पिठीसाखर चांगली फेसून घेऊन त्यामध्ये चाळलेला मैदा व दुध घालून घट्ट पीठ माळून घ्या. नंतर त्याचे चार एकसारखे गोळे करून लाटून कापून घ्या.
काढई मध्ये तेल गरम करून मंद विस्तवावर गुलाबी रंगावर टाळून घ्या.
