Bharlele Tomato (Stuffed Tomatoes)

This is a Recipe for preparing Bharlele Tomato or Bharele Tamatar in Hindi (Stuffed Tomatoes). A unique recipe using the tomato in the Maharshtrian style of cooking. This is a main course vegetable dish.

Ingredients
500 Gram Tomatoes (Red Medium size)
1 Cup Coconut (Shredded)
1 Cup Coriander (chopped)
Salt to taste
1 Tea spoon Sugar
¼ Tea spoon Turmeric powder
5-6 Green Chilies (Chopped)
50 Gram Khas Khas (Poppy Seeds)
50 Gram Besan (Gram Dal Atta)
1 Table spoon Oil

Preparation
Wash the Tomatoes and scoop the seeds out. Roast the Besan and Poppy Seeds and keep it aside. Mix the Coconut, Coriander, and Salt, Sugar, and Turmeric powder, Green Chilies, Khas Khas and Besan and prepare a mixture.
Stuff the Tomatoes with this filling and cover with Tomato slice which we have cut in round shape and keep it aside.
Heat Oil in the Frying Pan and arrange the Tomatoes in the Frying Pan and cover with a lid. Cook for 4-5 Minutes on slow sim.
Serve hot and while serving garnish with Coriander.
