This is a recipe for Chicken Cheese Toast. This is a great breakfast dish which can even be served on the main course.
200 gram diced and cooked chicken
50 gram butter
50 gram flour
1/1/2 cup milk
50 gram thinly sliced button mushroom
6 large slices of bread
50 grams grated cheese
A few onion rings for garnishing
Salt, pepper and chili powder as per taste
First prepare a white sauce from the butter, milk and flour.
Add the seasoning, chicken and mushroom and cook; stirring continuously till it becomes slightly thick.
Then toast all the bread slices on both the sides.
Divide the chicken mixture equally on them.
Sprinkle the cheese equally on top of each and place under a grill till the cheese turns a nice shade of golden brown.
Serve hot garnished with the onion rings.
